Welcome to this week's edition of football IPO insights. It's all offensive this week with 1 quarterback, 3 running backs, and 4 wide receivers. The best-looking card of the week has to be the Ricky Williams issue. It illustrates his powerful running style with a great shot of him in action. Anyway, here is this week's rundown.

Aaron Brooks (1,000 @ $6.50)

Aaron Brooks is in his 4th year as quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have started this year at 3-5 and Brooks just can't seem to get things going. He has a cannon for an arm and can scramble when needed. However, poor decisions and forced passes seem to haunt him. This is his 3rd eTopps card and all indications point to this card being below IPO very quickly. Don't buy this card!

Brian Finneran (1,500 @ $4.00)

Brian Finneran is in his 4th year as a wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons. He has had a grand total of 5 receptions this year. Come on eTopps -- you can do better than this. All I have to say is "yawn". This guy is bad, the Falcons are bad, and this is a bad choice of card for this set. Oh, by the way, don't buy this card!

Kevin Curtis (1,500 @ $4.00)

Kevin Curtis is a rookie wide receiver for the St Louis Rams. Curtis injured his leg in early September and was out until week 7. He has been in the last 2 games but has not had a reception. This is another fine example of eTopps fumbling the ball. Don't buy this card unless you just have to complete this year's rookie set.

Kevin Faulk (1,500 @ $4.00)

Kevin Faulk is a running back for the New England Patriots and is one of this week's 2 vote-in cards. He has been a solid performer for the Patriots as a return man and running back. This is his first eTopps issue and, even for 4 bucks, is not a good eTopps buy. Don't buy this card!

Troy Hambrick (1,000 @ $6.50)

Troy Hambrick has become a workhorse carrying the ball for the Dallas Cowboys this year. He is the second vote-in card this week. Troy has spent the last 3 seasons as Emmitt Smith's apprentice. Hambrick has been a big part of the Cowboys' surprising 5-2 start. All you Cowboy fans out there better grab one of these at IPO! Meanwhile, the rest of us will pass. Don't buy this card!

Ricky Williams (1,500 @ $6.50)

Ricky Williams seems to have come into his own this year with the Miami Dolphins. He has given them a solid running game and it appears the Dolphins are in great shape to make a deep run into the playoffs. Even though this is Ricky's 4th eTopps card, I think it is a must-own for any serious football fan. Lets' check the IPO box on this one. Buy this card!

Torry Holt (1,500 @ $4.00)

Torry Holt is heading into his prime as one of the elite receivers in the NFL. He was on the receiving end of many Kurt Warner passes and now looks to be Marc Bulger's favorite target. Look for big numbers out of this guy for many years to come. Let's check the box on this one and buy this card!

Taylor Jacobs (2,000 @ $4.00)

Taylor Jacobs is a rookie wide receiver out of the University of Florida. He was drafted by the Redskins and is now reunited with Steve Spurrier, his college coach. Jacobs will be the Redskins #3 receiver this season. He has been an overwhelming success so far with 1 (that's right, 1) reception this year. Hope you noted my sarcasm there. This is another fine addition to this year's set by the eTopps Staff. Yep, you guessed it... Don't buy this card!
