It feels funny calling a week with offerings of Reggie Jackson and Warren Spahn "weak" but when you compare it to past pairings you must call it that. Both are Hall-of-Famers but they each are missing that certain something that excites collectors.

A former Yankee always attracts collectors but Reggie seems to lack visibility in today's baseball community. Spahn sometimes doesn't spring to mind when recounting baseball's greatest hurlers but he should. Perception is reality so these cards will get little respect on the eBay Trading Floor for a good while.

But come next spring interest in all Classics issues will pick up and these will be a solid addition to your portfolio. Pick some up below IPO price this winter and stash them away. You'll be glad you did.
