Joe Namath (3,000 @ $12.50)

Joe Namath symbolizes greatness in the NFL or for anyone who uses Flexall 454. Namath may very well be the most popular man to ever wear pantyhose on the field. It doesn't get much better than Joe at the quarterback position. After his Ruth-like prediction that the Jets would win Superbowl III he became one of the biggest stars in football. I'm surprised Topps couldn't find a picture of him face down in the dirt after a twelve pack. It would have looked about ten times better than the Quasimodo-looking picture we get on this card! Don't get your pantyhose in a bunch hoping to get this one at IPO because it won't sell out! I don't see this card selling out; maybe about 1,800. At that print run this could be a good card. If this does sell out or comes close to it I don't see it doing much in the near future. Bottom line: if you just have to have this card pick it up at IPO. If you would kind of like to have it I would wait and see how it performs on eBay.

Y.A. Tittle (3,000 @ $12.50)

I could have went my whole life without having a Y.A. Tittle card. Once again eTopps card selection takes a dive and leaves me here thinking of new ways to put down a card. Granted Tittle had a good career and may have some fans still alive but out of the two quarterbacks offered this week Tittle is by far the worst and the most unknown. This card won't sell out!! This card probably doesn't even have 1 out of 10 eToppers thinking of ordering it. Why? Because they most likely don't know who he is!!! I say we're looking at a new short print say like 700-750 and will do fine on the secondary market until the next short print comes.
