This week we are privileged to have Mike Schmidt and Jackie Robinson to choose as our classic cards. Once again just like all Classics in the past (and future) these two will easily sell out.
Just who are Schmidt and Robinson? Well Mike Schmidt could easily be called the greatest third basemen in the history of baseball. Combining his amazing power and flashy leather on the field Schmidt earned 10 Gold Gloves while smashing 548 total home runs. Schmidt was also a 10-time All-Star and a 3 time NL MVP.
If you don’t know Jackie Robinson you are not a true baseball fan and you obviously haven’t paid much attention in your history class either. Robinson was first introduced to the league back in ’47 becoming the first Negro player in the majors. Robinson helped lead the Dodgers to 6 pennants in only 10 season. With deadly speed Robinson stole home 19 times in his career. Robinson was also named NL MVP in ’49 while leading the loop with a .342 average, 37 steals and having 124 RBIs.
