Jerry Rice (2,000 @ $9.50)
He is the best wide receiver to ever play the game, a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and holds almost every receiving record. Why would you pass on this card? Rice is getting older but shows no signs of wear. This could be his last NFL season and his last card.
Andre Davis (2,000 @ $6.50)
This is his rookie card and he has played a big role for the Browns near the red zone. This kid has 6 TD's already this year along with 361 yards. But at an IPO price of $6.50, I say pass. eTopps swung and missed on this one. Get yours on eBay.
Emmitt Smith (2,000 @ $9.50)
A new record for eTopps, Emmitt Smith has 4 cards already. This one definitely looks better than the eVent card because there will be four times less of them. At $9.50 and a print run of 2,000, I say buy - you can never have enough of Emmitt.
Eric Moulds (2,000 @ $4.00)
Can you say underrated? Moulds is one of the best wideouts in the game. With Bledsoe at quarterback he can finally get the throws he needs to strut his stuff. Thanks to eTopps this will be a no-brainer to pick up at IPO. It seems eTopps thinks he is a second-rate receiver with that kind of print run. Don't believe it!
Jeff Garcia (2,500 @ $6.50)
Garcia and the Niners are headed for the playoffs again this year. Jeff has proven that he is one of the top 5 quarterbacks in the game right now. Great price, great print run and if you are a fan of Garcia definitely a must-have.
Kordell Stewart (2,000 @ $4.00)
Slash filled in well for injured Tommy Maddox but stepped aside this week and is back riding the bench. This will more than likely be Stewart's last year in Pittsburgh. He'll likely get a starting job elsewhere. I would pass on this card and take his 2001 edition.
Classics: Joe Montana (3,000 @ $12.50)
Many consider Joe the greatest quarterback of all-time. He is a very popular pick if you are a pick-and-choose type with the Classics set. It will hold its value and is without a doubt one of the best Classics to pick up. Is he the greatest QB ever? The debate rages on. But he is the best Classics card to this point.
Classics: Norm Van Brocklin (3,000 @ $12.50)
Most people are thinking "who is this?". Well, let me tell you. Van Brocklin was a punter and a quarterback in his day. He led 2 teams to NFL titles and won the league MVP award. He also held the single-game passing record of 554 yards for 51 years. A short print run is likely for this card. I would take a chance on him at IPO.
