Brett Favre (4,000 @ $9.50)

Favre is without a doubt a hall of fame QB. His arm is unmatched, nobody throws fast balls like this guy. We could take down Iraq with the missiles this guy throws. Brett has hit a bit of a roadblock in his last two games throwing 7 combined interceptions, after only throwing 4 in the first 9 games. He should return to his winning ways soon he doesn't know how to fail. His etopps on the other hand could be a toss up. The $9.50 cards as a whole have not been performing well but this is Favre and if anyone can sell at $9.50 he can.

Curtis Martin (3,000 @ $6.50)

Martin is a little behind his usual pace but he should still hit the 1000 yard mark by the end of the season. This would be the eighth straight year he has broken the thousand yard mark. After his career year last year 1,513 yards there should be no doubt that he is the real deal. At $6.50 and a 3,000 print run for a second year card I see this one hovering around IPO. I'm getting it off ebay.

Deshaun Foster (3,000 @ $6.50)

Rookie running back Deshaun Foster tore cartilage in his left knee and hasn't carried the ball all year. Although I hear he remains professional sitting on the bench and lends a hand with the towels. For a guy who is unproven $6.50 is too high a gamble for me to sit on for another year. I say forget about it!!!

Josh McCown (3,000@ $6.50)

McCown is another rookie this week who has yet to play a single down. Are you a gambling man? He is trapped behind veteran starter Jake Plummer and will most likely sit on the bench until Plummer leaves. From his scouting report he has flawed mechanics, makes mental errors, and gets sacked too much. (sound like a guy you want on your team?) Well somehow this kid found a way to get it done last year at Sam Houston St. He threw for 3,481 yards and 32 TD's! He very well may be a good NFL QB but only time will tell. I will fight for him on the trading floor.

Marcus Robinson (2,000 @ $4.00)

The last time Robinson remained healthy for a full season was 1999 but he proved he was NFL worthy with 84 grabs for 1400 yards and 9 TD's. Since then he has been plagued by injuries. He is currently fighting over the ball with Booker and White and has come up with 19 catches and 171 yards with 2 being TD's. Marcus is a good receiver and if he remains healthy should have a decent career. At $4 and a 2,000 print run any self-respecting Bear fan should grab him.

Plaxico Burress (3,000 @ $6.50)

Burress is quickly becoming the Steelers go to WR in only his 3rd year in the league. He has already grabbed 53 balls for 848 yards and 6 TD's!!! He became a 1,000 yard receiver for the first time last year. This being his first etopps card and with Plaxico starting to make a name for himself this issue is a must have!!!

Classics: Terry Bradshaw (3,000 @ $12.50)

Bradshaw may have a big mouth and be best known by this generation as the guy who feuds with Jimmy Kimmel but he was also a great QB who led the Steelers to victory in 4 Super Bowls!!! He is a must have for any Steelers fan or classics collector!

Classics: Chuck Bednarik (3,000 @ $12.50)

If you are asking yourself 'who is this guy'? You aren't the only one. Bednarik played for the Eagles from 1949-1962. He played both center and linebacker and is best known for laying Frank Gifford out. But nonetheless he is a hall of famer and was a great bruiser. As far as value goes you might want to get this one off ebay.

Hot pick of the week: Plaxico Burress
Cold play of the week: Deshaun Foster
