Steve McNair (2,000 @ $6.50)

Why is the print-run for this card so low you ask? I'd say it's because if McNair wasn't included in the set, people would NOT even vote him in. This is a quarterback from Alcorn State (no, I didn't even have to look that one up) who has been around since the Houston Oiler days, when he backed up Chris Chandler. He has, at times, looked like a winner as he has led his team to victory many times. Yet, McNair is a kamikaze on the football field, leaving no regard for the well being of his body. As a result, he is often hampered by injuries and does not play up to his full potential (whatever that is). At a 2K print-run, how could you not try and buy?

Antonio Bryant (5,000 @ $6.50)

Bryant is a big receiver out of Pitt who has shown some flashes of brilliance in his brief stint in the NFL. Playing for the Cowboys is a double-edged sword for a receiver these days. On one hand, they aren't a very good team, so they will be passing a lot. Unfortunately, on the other hand, there is no one worth talking about throwing to them. Bryant will be an NFL star and he will have a good mentor in Joey Galloway. As far as an etopps card goes, I think it should have been a smaller print run. However, if Bryant's potential is met, this card should be worth something.

Patrick Ramsey (5,000 @ $6.50)

Ramsey is a QB out of Tulane (alma mater of another backup QB, Shaun King) and stands tall at 6'2". He seems to have great physical skills to be a top-notch quarterback in the NFL, however he lacks the mental awareness and ability to read defenses to be a force as of yet. Let's face it, if you can't beat out Shane Matthews and Danny Wuerffel, you just aren't that good yet! My guess is that he plays in NFL Europe this off-season and comes back next year to beat out Matthews for the starting job. Basically, I'll take the $6.50 that I would have spent on this card and spend it on Big Bacon Classic Meal at Wendy's. That's money better spent!

Marshall Faulk

Marshall Faulk (5,000 @ $9.50)

Faulk seems to get in the endzone about as much as Rosie O'Donnell gets in her refrigerator. The man is a scoring machine and racks up more and more yards every week. Faulk is easily one the best players in NFL history, which is reason enough for the $9.50 price tag that his card demands. How could one go wrong?

Shaun Alexander (3,000 @ $6.50)

When the New York Giants passes over Alexander to take Ron Dayne for their first round pick in the 2000 NFL draft, I could only think one thing…BIG MISTAKE! And to date, it looks like the Giants were wrong. However, Alexander's hot and cold performances have led to him seeing a decrease in his workload, as he gives way to Maurice Morris. Basically, I don't get Alexander. At times, he has looked like he is too good to play in the NFL and at other times, he has looked like the Olsen twins could bring him down. Perhaps Alexander's recent decline is the reason for the short print-run. I still say he's a solid investment…he's just too good (when he's good!).

Tiki Barber (2,000 @ $6.50)

If I see another one of those Tiki/Rhonde Barber commercials for that Visa Check card, I am will puke. Those are about as amusing as watching C-Span. Anyway, Barber is a guy that I always pass up in my fantasy league and yet, this guy always puts up a nice amount of all-purpose yards and even an occasional score. Barber is not in the top ten runningbacks of the current NFL, yet you have to respect what he can do. Then again, it shouldn't be too difficult to get comfortable playing runningback for the Giants. After all, I don't think Dayne wants the job that badly. Another 2K print-run and another shot at getting a rare card.
