Randy Moss (3,000 @ $9.50)

This is Moss's third card now in the etopps program and it is clear that the people in charge are well aware of that fact, as they have tried to entice would-be buyers by limiting the print run of Moss to 3k. Despite the fact that I once said that Moss had the ability to be one of the best players ever, I will decline purchasing this card. At $9.50 it's a bit expensive and the 3,000 print run doesn't excite me that much.

Brian Griese (4,000 @ $6.50)

Brian Griese should have had an event card when he supposedly "tripped" over his dog and sprained his ankle. Unfortunately for canine Griese fans everywhere, that sentiment was not echoed by etopps! Griese is a tough competitor whose biggest enemy could be Mike Shanahan. As soon as Shanny stops looking over Griese's shoulder, I think you will have one very relaxed, top-notch quarterback who will be an all-pro for many years. As much as I like Griese, I don't think I would be inclined to purchase his card except for the fact that it is a 4k print run.

Ashley Lelie (5,000 @ $6.50)

Lelie hails from the University of Hawaii, so the climate change alone had to kill him going to balmy Denver. However, Lelie is coming along nicely as the third receiver for the Broncos. Surrounded by talented veterans Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey, Lelie surely has solid mentors. In Brian Griese, Lelie has a maturing, young and competitive quarterback that is eager to win every game. This could be one serious tandem. Finally, this Lelie's first IPO and may be a good buy at $6.50 considering his upside potential.

Javon Walker (5,000 @ $6.50)

As far as talent and etopps card value go, I would have to say that Walker is in the same class as the aforementioned Lelie. He has tremendous upside and is lucky to have one of the best qb's of all time throwing to him, in Brett Favre (no Fav-ruh jokes puh-lease!). Walker's obstacles for breaking out this year include the emergence of Donald Driver and some pre-season injuries. He won't do much this year, but I think he will be a steal in the next fantasy draft.

Jerome Bettis (4,000 @ $6.50)

Few people would consider Bettis among the elite runningbacks, however the guy somehow has put up a ton of yards. Every year I avoid this guy in my fantasy draft and every year someone gets him very late and gets decent production out of him. However, I think Bettis's best days are behind him and he should move on to a career in professional bowling. It's famous Amos (Zeroeue) time.

Troy Brown (4,000 @ $4.00)

It seems like every week etopps throws in a card to the IPOs that makes you say, "huh?" To me, this is that card. Troy Brown is an excellent receiver and I am sure New England fans love him. However, it's going to take more than a $4/4k print run to get me to buy. I suppose Patriot fans will be all over this one and it actually could end up being a good buy, but I will take my chances and not buy.

Also: "Emmitt Smith Rushes Into History" Event Card (Unlimited @ $8.00)

There are cards you buy because they have good potential. There are cards you buy because you love the player. There are cards you buy because they cost $4 and there are cards you buy just because you are a fan of the sport. This is that card. I am not the biggest Emmitt fan and I don't even think he is the best runningback ever. However, the man is a great representative of the sport and is simply a class act. As a football fan and admirer of someone who has achieved so much, I find myself looking to buy this card.
