This 7-time Pro Bowler spent all 14 of his years in the NFL with the Seahawks; something that is practically unheard of nowadays. Largent was one of the best receivers during the early 80’s. His records are unique for a wideout, and he is deserving of an eTopps card. However, that doesn’t mean you should buy it. This year’s football Classic set has been wacky, to say the least. First, Otto Graham had 547 issued. The price reached $16. Then Raymond Berry outdid him with only 477 issued. That price went up to $18. Last week Fred Biletnikoff had an IPO quantity of 450. How this will affect Berry’s card no one knows for sure. But we can learn one thing from all this: Unless the card has an issue quantity of less than 450, you stand no chance of making a profit. DON’T BUY THIS CARD!
A 2-time MVP and Heisman winner, Earl was the Houston Oilers’ star running back. Earl found his home in Texas, first going to UT at Arlington, and then going to Houston. He has set numerous running records and his ability to bend like a rubber band has only been equaled by Barry Sanders. But, as I said above, this year’s prices for Classic Football have been extremely unpredictable and also short-lived. I guarantee that this print run will be above 450, resulting in a loss. Only the star cards of this set (Walter Payton, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, and Johnny Unitas) are able to make you a profit with print runs above 500. With a semi-star like Campbell, you don’t stand a chance of making a profit on a 500+ print run. DON’T BUY THIS CARD!!!
