Week 6 of eTopps' football IPOs is not overly exciting. No standout rookies and no particularly attractive values.
Michael Vick (6,000 @ $9.50)
Michael Vick is THE big name of the week. A $9.50 price tag for card with a print run of 6,000 is quite high, but then again look at Harrington with an 8,000 print run. This is his second-year card but his first year had a PR of 5,721 and is going for $35. This could be another good investment for Vick fans.
Drew Brees (5,000 @ $6.50)
Brees, the leading QB for San Diego out of Purdue, is another second-year card. This one could have some long-term potential, but don't look for immediate gains.
Rod Smith (4,000 @ $4.00)
Over 7,000 receiving yards in 7 years is what Rod Smith lists on his resume. Some might say his first-year card is undervalued (going for $20 currently with a 521 PR) and this year his card will be sure to sell out.
Priest Holmes (5,000 @ $6.50)
Priest Holmes is a 4-year vet who has already proven he can run with the big guys. With already 4,000+ rushing yards Holmes is the main offensive engine for the Chiefs. Though this is his second-year card you might find his card trading a few dollars above IPO like Ricky Williams.
Roy Williams (5,000 @ $6.50)
Williams, a rookie from Oklahoma, was taken 8th by the Dallas Cowboys. Williams is an excellent safety and has already recorded 30 tackles in the 5 games he has started. All the rookies have been hot so there is not reason why Williams shouldn't be.
Daniel Graham (4,000 @ $6.50)
Tight end Daniel Graham is the other rookie of the week. The Colorado alum won't get too many looks this year, especially with his hurt arm and Deion Branch playing well. The future looks bright for this young kid if he can stay healthy.
